Luke Skywalker vs. Doug (Blue Diamond)
Luke's quest and Doug's quest in the Blue Diamond can be compared in many different ways. Throughout their struggles they encounter many similar problems and triumphs, for instance to start each of their journeys they both refuse to go. Doug by making an excuse that he has to study, and Luke by saying he must stay on the farm 1 more year. Another comparison that can be easily made is that of the hero partner, both have ones close to them. For Luke it's Han, or even Obi-Wan Kenobi, and for Doug it's obviously Quinn. The similarities between the two stories are very visible and easily noted, even if the quests seem different.
